MRE

This is coolbert:

Meal Ready to Eat! MRE!

"Where MREs Are Really Loved"

"In South Korea the police have uncovered yet another group of South Koreans selling discarded American MREs (Meals Ready to Eat) to South Korean civilians. These entrepreneurs get about two dollars per MRE. The South Koreans are being prosecuted for violating health rules (the MREs were not stored safely) not for stealing MREs."

MRE American field rations not haute cuisine. Generally considered by American military personnel to be bland, tasteless, rather unappetizing.

DOES provide the necessary calories and nutrition as needed for troops involved in sustained military operations and not intended to be more than that.

Some nationalities however really in love with MRE, in a surprising manner.

As is described in the latest issue of the National Geographic magazine:

"In Afghanistan one French field ration used to be worth six U.S. meals in a swap. Now, thanks to a much a improved U.S. menu, that's reversed"!!

YES, most surprising and a sign of good. Someone is creating haute cuisine for the American troop and that is a thing we can all agree is a positive.

coolbert.
